There are many people in the world. Some of them are very famous like Barack Obama. His full name is Barack Hussein Obama II. He is an American politician. He served as the 44th president of the United States. He started from 2009 to 2017. He is also a member of the Democratic Party. He was the first African- American president of the United States. He also served as a U.S. senator in Illinois. He started this from 2005 to 2008 and He as well as served as an Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004.

Barack Obama took birth in Honolulu which is in Hawaii. He did a job as a community organizer in Chicago. He did this after completing graduating from Columbia University in 1983. He took admission to Harvard Law School in 1988. He was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. He completed graduation and become a civil rights attorney and an academic. He used to teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.

Barack Obama came into politics. He did a job in the 13th district in the Illinois Senate from 1997 until 2004. He did this when he was running ran for the U.S. Senate. He got national attraction with his March Senate primary win in 2004 and also got well-attraction in the July Democratic National Convention keynote address as well as in his landslide November election to the Senate.

Barack Obama was given by the Democratic Party for president in 2008. He was nominated after a close primary campaign which was against Hillary Clinton. Obama was selected as the Republican nominee by John McCain. It was a general election. After Nine months, he was given the name of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. He took a decision that drew a mixture of praise and criticism.

He signed so many landmark bills into law. He did all these in his first two years in office. The main ones are the Affordable Care Act, sometimes referred to as “the ACA” or “Obamacare”, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and also the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act of 2010. He also signed The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act. He served as economic stimuli amidst the Great Recession. He signed the Budget Control Act of 2011 and the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. He signed this after signing a lengthy debate over the national debt limit.

Barack Obama increased U.S. troop levels in Afghanistan and also reduced nuclear weapons with the United States–Russia New START treaty. He ended military involvement in the Iraq War. Obama ordered the drone-strike killing in Yemen of al-Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki In 2011, who was an American citizen. He ordered military involvement in Libya to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1973. He contributed to the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. He also ordered the counterterrorism raid for killing Osama bin Laden.

Obama took birth at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu which is in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. He is the first president who took birth outside of the contiguous 48 states. His mother was American and his father was Kenyan. His mother who name was Ann Dunham (1942–1995). She took birth in Wichita which was in Kansas. He was in the USA in 1850. Obama’s father was Barack Obama Sr. (1934–1982). He was married to Luo Kenyan from Nyang’oma Kogelo. Obama’s parents met in 1960 in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii which is in Manoa. His father was a foreign student on a scholarship. The couple married in Wailuku on February 2, 1961. It is in Hawaii. Six months before of married Obama was born.

Barack and his mother shifted to the University of Washington in Seattle. They lived there for a year. Barack’s father completed his undergraduate degree in economics in Hawaii, graduating in June 1962, and his master’s from Harvard University. Obama’s parents divorced in March 1964. Obama Sr. went to Kenya in 1964. He married for the third time and worked for the Kenyan government as the Senior Economic Analyst in the Ministry of Finance. He used to visit his son in Hawaii only once on Christmas day in 1971. His father was killed in an automobile accident in 1982. Obama was just 21 years old.
